I never used Publisher much, so I won’t miss it, but I’m sure there are others who use it frequently.

You commented on Outlook Express, but even the “real” Microsoft Outlook just went through a change, and I find that all the familiar features have not been carried over. In the work environment, some in the office still have the old version, while others have had a forced upgrade.

Some programs do become obsolete and you can often still use the older versions although at your own risk (may have bugs etc.).

However it is annoying when they remove something that lots use and don’t offer an alternative. I remember using Inbox by Google which I preferred over Gmail and when they removed it many of the features where missing from Gmail.

I also miss Google Play music because you could buy individual songs, albums etc. and wish they would have integrated this into their streaming service. If there’s a band I really like I’ll buy a digital copy of their album and also back the album up. Streaming is fine but your relying on that service.
