True, but I don’t usually carry a USB stick.

It seems a good idea to use portable apps on our home computers too.

Am I right on this? Why or why not?

Portable also means you can carry the programs around on a pen drive and use them where you like.

What do people think of my mostly portable apps software?

My thought is that if I don’t have to install a piece of software & mess with the OS, I shouldn’t.

I’m not entirely sure how much benefit it is though.

With PF you can edit out unnecessary portions of the PDF, as well as alter text and image sizing.

Good recommendations, I’ll have to try I Print.
How is Print friendly any different than “Save to PDF” in the print menu?

1) I print – a virtual printer that allows you to see and organize what you are printing, and also allows you to combine several printouts into one pdf.
2) Print friendly – a web browser addition that can turn most website articles into a pdf for saving or printing.

Ha ha, Colin
But seriously, my phone takes photos in 4000x1868px resolution at 2MB or higher files size. For websites to load quickly, most phots on a site need to be small in file size, often only around 100KB and this resizing can be achieved in numerous ways without losing quality.
Cheers
Marc

2. Portable Faststone viewer
3. Portable Sumatra PDF
4. Portable VLC
5. Portable Wise Cleaner + Portable Privazer
6. Portable apps registrator

The only installed apps are:
1. 7-zip
2. Standalone MS Excel

Then do system slimming through powershell:

What??
Maybe time for a new camera!
There you go..problem solved!

I’ve used it for years and it’s invaluable for me to near-instantly find a document or spreadsheet I think I remember the name of I made in Windows 3.1. Or that mp3 I dropped into the wrong directory last year. I sometimes delete the everything.db file just to watch it bring up 950,000+ objects in a few seconds. Granted, they’re on three 970 Evo SSDs and one microSD in a i9-9900K home built, but still.

I find NirSoft’s CurrPorts TCP/IP connections viewer another can’t-live-without program.
