The software we use to manage the entries does not offer that option.
There is no requirement to “follow” anything, but we do require an email address to notify the winners. A simple comment would not give us that information. And, to be clear, we do not use that information for any other purpose.

Nice, thought, Reg, but it won’t work with our current system.

Kind comments are always a nice reward. It’s good to know that we’ve helped someone. That’s why we’re here. 😉

Here’s a thought from an old geezer – how about additionally entering everyone who submits a weekly comment automatically into the draw for a chance to win these giveaways ? I regularly look at the winners’ names and hardly ever see a name I recognise who has contributed by way of the “Comments” section. That’s fine if they choose not to, but those of us who do contribute and try to help to make the platform interactive together with your excellent Staff Writers should perhaps also be recognised with an automatic entry with a chance to to win without having to jump through all the “follow us on facebook” hoops – especially as some of us can’t stand using social media anyway (cough cough) !

Might encourage more people to comment as well if they can get an extra entry that way. I sometimes feel sorry for some of your Staff Writers who clearly have spent some time preparing and submitting their articles only to have no responses at all !

Anyway just a thought !
